SUBJECT: The U.S.A. Looks Overseas 1853 - 1915
"What the Mediterranean Sea was to the Greeks, breaking the bonds of custom, offering new experiences, calling out new institutions and activities, that, and more, the ever retreating frontier has been to the United States."
Frederick Jackson Turner

Manifest Destiny was over - Turner's Thesis said so.

But America's move "WEST" and "OUT" was not finished - as she developed into a world power, she followed the examples of all the world power nations and became IMPERIALISTIC.

We will discuss America's rise to power and her expansion into the world theatre this week.
